Some movies include additional scenes during or after the credits. These scenes can provide an extra joke, reveal information, connect to another story or set up a future installment.
What is a mid-credits scene?
A mid-credits scene appears before the full credit sequence has finished. If a movie has one, viewers who leave immediately after the main story can miss it.
What is a post-credits scene?
A post-credits scene appears after the main credits. It may be brief, but it can still contain important story or franchise information.
How to check without spoilers
Search for a simple question such as whether the movie has a post-credits scene before leaving the theater. If you want to remain completely spoiler-free, avoid opening detailed explanations until after you have watched the film.
Why these scenes matter
Not every extra scene is a major plot clue. Some are comedic or thematic, while others expand the story world. The safest approach is to check the film's current credits information without assuming that every extra scene changes the main ending.
